Demand for lightweight summer specific uniforms is growing

If you work in the sun you know it can be very harsh. Summer workwear needs to offer effective UV protection from the sun and the heat and be breathable enough to keep you cool and dry and maintain an optimal body temperature. So you can look good AND feel good.

The most suitable workwear assists you in maintaining an ideal body temperature for optimal function.

Comfort is important and so is movement, as being able to move freely is critical in carrying out tasks and keeping safe. Vented, breathable clothing which dries quickly can help regulate the body’s natural temperature. You also need sun protection and light work shirts with full sleeves and full brim hard hats with sun shield can be an option depending on the task. To understand what works best for you, give us a call and one of our expert account managers will be able to help answer your questions and find the best solution for your unique work requirements.

Summer Apparel Embellishment from Active Safety

Branding is an important part of your summer apparel as it sets you apart from the crowd and acts as a walking advertisement for your company. Many of our valued customers recommend branding as it can also help build a feeling of company pride and teamwork amongst your staff.

Whether your work uniform includes hi-vis, safety workwear or more corporate styles, adding a printed or embroidered logo elevates the look and shows your customers you are professional.

At Active Safety we provide quick turnaround on workwear uniform ordering and branding and in most cases can turn a uniform order around within 7-10 working days.

Get in touch by simply calling Active Safety on 0800 22 87 23 and we will put you in touch with one of our expert account managers.

Branding options for your workwear

Embroidery: A common option for adding a logo to clothing is embroidery. This involves intricate stitching designs with thread, which creates a raised design on the fabric. Embroidered logos are popular because they’re easy to wash and wear repeatedly without wearing out quickly.

Printing: Printing is another method of imprinting onto workwear like t-shirts, jackets and caps; however this technique uses ink instead of stitching as an alternative way of putting text onto garments rather than embroidery which creates raised stitches.

Recycling your uniforms and Polyester Hi-vis Clothing

Active Safety is proud to partner with Textile Products, the largest textile recycling company in New Zealand, to create a used workwear recycling programme where you can return your end-of-life Hi-Vis apparel and workwear to be recycled into reusable products such as insulation, felt, foam, carpet underlay and geotextiles, in turn reducing waste to landfill. We can recycle the following materials: wool, cotton, linen, flax, harakeke, jute, cellulose fibres, silk, mohair cashmere, goat hair, rayon, viscose, polyester, nylon, acrylic and polypropylene.

We are also working with Future Post, which recycles domestic and commercial mixed-grade waste plastic into premium 100% recycled products.
